What sets The Moon School apart from other outdoor education programs is the Waldorf philosophy infused into the program model: at The Moon School we focus on building community, fostering a supportive and non-competitive space, gentle nurturance, folk traditions, whimsy, art, and of course, the herbalism education. This is the only program in the area where children come to learn about using plants from the garden to make age-appropriate botanical remedies and cultivate a home apothecary to share with their families. We make everything from teas, infused honey, syrups, oils, salves, balms, glycerin tinctures, herbal jello, and more.
